Stage Manipulation
Have you ever seen magic on stage before? When you see most stage acts, does this thought ever penetrate your
mind, “If I had a $20,000 box with stars painted on it and several scantily clad assistants, I could probably saw
myself in half also”? Mr. Pitchford’s philosophy of stage magic supersedes gratuitous pointing, shiny costumes,
meaningless dancing around, and characterless egos. Peter is … Peter when he is on stage. All of his magic
happens inside his own ten fingers. There are no suspicious props, gaudy, sequined outfits, or glittery explosions.
The unexplainable is truly unexplainable. Peter’s award winning stage manipulation acts are perfect for gala shows,
fund raisers, community events, and other stage engagements.
Mingle Magic
There is a little-known genre of magic referred to here as mingle magic. When most people think “magician” they either think of a baby-sitter for their children who comes to work in a top hat carrying a bunny rabbit or a guy on stage with expensive props and lighting. However, mingle magic is a sophisticated genre of the art that allows the miraculous to be done in a more intimate setting. Here, the magician is a part of the party. He mingles with the guests as a guest. As he mingles, he entertains. He entertains various groups often allowing the party attendees to participate, hands on, in the magical experience. This is often considered the most amazing genre of magic because the magic happens so close to the guests, and often in their hands. No stage, no special lighting, no props being wheeled in by assistants, only a deck of cards, only a few coins, only a Bic pen, only amazing skill. Peter’s award winning close up magic is ideal for private parties, wedding receptions, corporate events, company picnics, hospitality suites, or any rendezvous.
Adult Stand Up Magic Show
This 45-minute show is geared toward a group of adults. Peter takes the audience through his
own magical biography from the very first trick he ever saw, to his own unique magical creations today. The audience
experiences, with Peter, his infatuation with magic as a child, how he mischievously used the art to escape calamity as a
teenager, and how he uses it today to entertain and delight audiences. Each routine is captivating, amazing, motivating,
and entertaining. Peter’s love for the art, creativity, and perspective really come to the forefront of this show.
Children’s Shows
When you see a children’s magician have you ever heard the children scream, “Oh, I’ve seen that one before!” Sometimes it’s because the children want to impress their peers, but other times it’s because they really have seen that one before. Children’s entertainers are notorious for using the same material. It has been said, “If you have seen one kids’ show, you’ve seen them all.” If this is your sentiment toward children’s performers you are about to take a breath of fresh air. Peter’s kids’ show is entertaining for both children and adults – AND it is not a carbon copy of the others. It is fresh, creative, powerful, and entertaining. Throughout the 45-minute show, the children are able to participate in (and at times actually do) the magic themselves. This show is fitting for family get-togethers, birthday parties, community events, block parties, and other special days. Along with the performance, Peter offers packages that include balloon animals, face-painting, and magic workshops.
